Start each day with this warming drink to hydrate, wake up the digestive system and give the liver a kick start. Personally, I make a thermos flask the night before which I leave beside my bed. By morning it’s perfect drinking temperature and I spend 5 relaxing minutes in bed (unless the children pay me a visit!) sipping my drink and then I’m ready for the day!
Tip: This is good with a dash of lime, too.
Ingredients
Juice of 1 lemon
Pinch of cayenne pepper
2 slices of root ginger
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Boiling water
Place all the ingredients in a flask and leave overnight. Otherwise prepare in a large mug in the morning.
